Louise's obituary
Louise Castaldo, born Louise Ann Toteda on October 29, 1947, to Luigi and Rose Toteda, passed away surrounded by love and family on Sunday November 23. She grew up in Washington Heights alongside her two older sisters, Carole and Edie, and spent her childhood creating cherished memories with her best friend, Eileen.
In her adult life, she made her home in Yonkers, where she built a warm, welcoming life rooted in hard work, kindness, and steadfast devotion to her children. A gentle soul and a loving mother, she raised three daughters—Lyana, Linda, and Patricia—instilling in them resilience, compassion, and the importance of standing by one another.
She is survived by her sister Carole and brother in law Bob; her daughters Lyana, Linda, and Patricia; and her beloved grandson, Eric. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews including Jeanette, John, Robert, Carolyn, Joseph, Patrick (predeceased), James and Maria, as well as countless cousins and friends whose lives were brightened by her generosity and friendship.
Louise will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering love, and the kindness she shared so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
