Randy's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Louis Toms Sr, a devoted father, proud Navy veteran, and lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. Louis, affectionately known as "Randy"to those who knew him best, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. He was 78 years old.
Louis served honorably in the United States Navy for over two decades retiring from his post aboard the USS Nimitz. His time in the service was marked by dedication, discipline, and a deep sense of pride in protecting his country. He often shared stories of his adventures at sea, leaving his family and friends in awe of his
experiences and sacrifices.
Above all, Louis cherished his family. He was a loving and supportive father to his son, Louis Jr., and his daughter, Britiany. His children were his greatest joy, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments. Louis's sense of humor was legendary, though he would often joke that he wasn't as funny as Jr.—a sentiment everyone around him would playfully agree with. His laughter was contagious, and his quick wit brought joy to countless gatherings.
Louis's passion for the Dallas Cowboys was unmatched.
Whether they were winning or losing, he was their most loyal fan, often cheering them on with a mix of enthusiasm and good-natured frustration. Sundays were sacred in the Toms household, reserved for football, family, and laughter.
Louis's legacy is one of love, humor, and service. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the stories we share, the laughter he inspired, and the love he gave so freely.
