Louis "Butch" Proffitt Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Louis "Butch" Proffitt on March 26, 2023. Born on January 31, 1950, Butch lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his loved ones and work.

Butch was a proud and talented construction professional whose passion and skill left a lasting impression on the many projects he participated in throughout his career.

An avid rider, Butch could often be found with the wind in his hair, exploring the open roads on his beloved motorcycle. He cherished the camaraderie and adventure that came with riding, and the bonds he formed with fellow riders remained dear to him throughout his life.

Butch’s larger-than-life personality was truly unforgettable. Eccentric, humorous, and loving, he had an uncanny ability to light up any room he walked into. His contagious laughter brought joy to those around him, and he was often the life of the party. In every social gathering, Butch ensured that everyone felt included and appreciated.

Butch is survived by his loving daughter, Angela Lee, and his son Benjamin proffitt, who were the light of his life. His devotion and love for them was immeasurable, and they shared a special bond that will continue to live on.  Although Butch's physical presence will be greatly missed, his infectious laughter, love, and spirit will remain with all who were fortunate enough to have known him. The memory of his remarkable life will continue to inspire and uplift us as we celebrate his legacy.

A celebration of Butch's life will be held in the coming weeks for friends and family to gather, reminisce, and honor the unforgettable man he was. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Butch's name to a charity of your choice.
