Louis "Lou" Honigfort, 77, passed away on December 27, 2025, in Olympia Fields, Illinois. Born on September 28, 1948, in Delphos, Ohio, Lou lived a full and vibrant life marked by deep family connections and a passion for collecting and observing the world around him.

Lou was the son of Raymond and Theresa Honigfort, both of whom preceded him in death. He graduated from Lima Central Catholic High School in Lima, Ohio in the class of 1966, laying the foundation for a life rooted in faith.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years, Betty; his daughter, Holly; his son-in-law, John; and his cherished grandchildren, Alison and Andrew. Lou took great joy in watching his grandchildren grow up—an experience he treasured deeply.

A man of many interests, Lou found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid collector of baseball cards and had a keen eye for butterfly and bird watching. Live music brought him great joy —he loved attending concerts whenever he could. NASCAR races were another favorite pastime, especially when shared with AJ. His stubborn spirit was matched only by his enthusiasm for the things and people he loved. Lou's legacy lives on through his family, who will forever hold him in their hearts and memories.
