Louis's obituary
In loving memory of our father, Louis Steven Accaria Sr. who passed away peacefully at the age of 69 at his oldest son and daughter-in-law’s home in El Dorado Hills, CA surrounded by his loved ones. Louis lost his hard-fought battle with cancer on February 13, 2023.
Louis was born on November 3, 1953 to Louis Sr. and Rose Accaria in Newark, N.J. He went to Essex Catholic High School and graduated from Bloomfield Tech High School in 1971. His ambition was to be an engineer. After high school Louis and his father started a business, "Best Ever Wrapping." They sold and serviced the machines and digital scales that wrapped and weighed store meats in supermarkets up the East Coast of Jersey and New York.
Louis moved with his wife Janice and daughter Michelle to California in 1984 where he began his career in the tile industry. They started their own tile company and Louis continued in the industry for the remainder of his career. Shortly after moving to California Louis and Janice had a son they named Louis Jr. born in 1985 and another son named Matthew born a few years later in 1988.
Louis had a way of making friends with anyone he came into contact with, he was loved and adored by many. He loved taking his boat out to Folsom Lake every summer with his family. He enjoyed slalom skiing. He was an avid motorcyclist and was at the most peace out on the open road with the wind in his hair, that’s when he was the happiest.
Louis was preceded in death in April of 2001 by his wife Janice. After her death he met his current wife Michele and they went on to have a daughter named Angalina together in 2006. They were living in Auburn, CA upon his death.
Louis is survived by his wife Michele, his beloved children Michelle Gregory and her husband Scott Gregory, son Louis Accaria Jr. and his fiancé Emily Trowe, son Matthew Accaria, daughter Angalina Accaria, step-daughter Ashley Ross and her husband Andrew Ross, his grandchildren Brandon Benvenuti, Jade Accaria, Kali Mullock, Annabelle Ross and Alison Ross. He also leaves behind his Mother Rose Accaria, siblings Philip Accaria, Daniel Accaria, Elaina Accaria Valentine and her husband Bill Valentine, his nieces and nephews Ian Valentine and wife Alex Valentine, Christina Valentine (deceased), Gabriella DeBonis, Daniel DeBonis, Abigail Accaria and Ruth Rose Accaria as well as his father-in-law Doug Thompson and mother-in-law Sandra Oliver-Thompson. He is survived by his lifelong childhood friends/brothers John McCann and Chip Turner and so, so many friends and family not listed.
Louis will be deeply missed by all who knew him. We don’t say goodbye, we say until we see you again. Ride with the angels now Daddy! We love you!
