Lorri's obituary
Lorraine Kay Angus aka "Raven"
November 4, 1960 - November 17, 2025
Lorri passed away in California surrounded by friends.
Lorri was born in Provo Utah on November 4, 1960 to parents Jean Trissell and Carl Angus. Her father served in the Coast Guard and during her early childhood the family was stationed in Washington state, San Diego and other locations. The family eventually returned to Utah where Lorri made lifelong friends. After high school Lorri married Rory Craner in 1978 and had 2 children. They later divorced.
Lorri lived a full life. During her time in Utah and later in Idaho she joined The Society For Creative Anachronism where she met many lifelong friends that knew her as Raven.
She lived in several states throughout her life. During her time in Seattle she discovered her vocation as a healer.
She made friends wherever she was. She loved her friends with a devotion that wasn't lessened by time or distance and she was deeply loved in return. In 2012 Lorri moved to Pomona California and shared a home with her dear friends Bruce and Ellen until her passing.
Lorri pursued knowledge and developed many talents throughout her life. She attended real estate and cosmetology school, and she became a certified reflexologist and Reiki master. She had a passion for photography and exhibited her work in Claremont. She was a skilled jeweler and taught classes in the techniques she had mastered, and she was a talented nail artist and henna artist, delighting many clients with her designs. She was active in her professional community as a part of the Business and Professional Women of Washington State, and later as a member of the Claremont Chamber of Commerce. She loved volunteering there, and they will miss her greatly.
She loved all animals from the smallest spiders to the most feral rescue cats. She loved her bearded dragon Jasper and her precious feline companions dearly. They brought her daily joy and love! They will continue to be cared for and loved until their time to join her comes.
Lorri was a registered donor. After her passing her organs were used for transplant, saving the lives of three people. Other organs were used for research, and her tissue was used to help save additional lives. We know that this makes her happy because of how much she loved healing and helping people.
She is preceded in death by her mother Jean Trissell and her father Carl Angus.
She is survived by her brother Larry (Teddy) Angus, her children Carl (Shirley) Craner, Randie (Karl) Taylor, along with several very close friends that were more family to her than friends.
There will be a small online memorial for her on Dec 14, at 4pm Pacific time. Check her Facebook page for the link when it becomes available.
