Lorne's obituary
Lorne Carson Brown, 62, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on June 30, 2025. He was born on February 26, 1963, in Santa Clara, California, to Darrell and Miriam Brown.
Lorne worked as a mechanic and spent time at an auto parts store, where he was known for his knowledge of cars and his willingness to help others. He had an interest in off-grid living and often enjoyed watching Disney movies, which offered him comfort and nostalgia. During the holidays, he was known to dress up as Santa Claus for his grandchildren and co-workers. He had a quiet nature and valued independence, often choosing to keep to himself rather than ask for help.
Lorne didn’t always find it easy to stay connected, but in his final months, he took part in the KC Tenants Union strike, standing with his neighbors in the call for better living conditions.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Darrell and Miriam Brown, and his sister, Cynthia Anderson. He is survived by his son, Joshua Brown(Kandis), two grandchildren, and a niece.
Per his wishes, Lorne will be cremated, and his ashes will be privately spread by his family.
