Lorin Alvin Hofer, 91, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023.

He was born on July 19, 1931. He was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He grew up and spent much of his life in Lake Mills, Wisconsin, and enjoyed telling stories about biking through the snow to the one-room schoolhouse and working on his family's farm as a young man. He was proud to have served in the US Air Force. He worked over 50 years for Badger Coach and loved all things Wisconsin sports. He loved a good game of Sheepshead with family and friends. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and driving around in his Corvair. 

He married Carol Wilke on August 23, 1986, at the Lake Mills Moravian Church. 

Survivors include his sisters Phyllis, Joyce, and Millie;  children Lori (Dale) Krasemann, Brian (Kris) Hofer; step-children O. Gary (Debra) Wilke, Larry Wilke, Pam (Doug) Meider, Doug (Jane Legault) Wilke, Tim (Wendy) Wilke; grandchildren Amber (Chris) Krasemann-Foss, Kelly Krasemann, Tenley Hofer, Brody Hofer, Joshua Raymond (Jacqueline Bolt), Andrew (Nayelli) Raymond, Jazmyn Lueck, Rustyn Lueck, Dennille (Jake) Heiman, Shallon (Tanner) Holzhueter, Dustin (Renee) Wilke, Levi (Amanda) Wilke, Sheena (Nick) Sass, Shane Butcher, Lindsey Meider, Rado Wilke, Alyssa (Rodney) Benson, Brittney Wilke, Chantel Wilke, Drew Ann Wilke, Ethan Wilke, Evan Wilke; great-grandchildren Cyrus Wilke, Aubrey Wilke, Steiger Wilke, Elizabeth Dorshorst, Emmalee Dorshorst, Barrett Wilke, Shelbey Wilke, Artie Wilke, Alice Wilke, Brynn Solberg, Blayne Solberg, Vada Meider, Alec Mager, Emma Mager, Hartlee Benson, Axton Holzhueter, Kemper Heiman; other relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his sister Doris, his wife Carol, and his parents.
