Lorilea J Kaake went to her heavenly home on February 10, 2023, to join her husband Robert who passed December 29, 2015.  Both their ashes will be combined and scattered at sea.  After spending 67 years together they wished to sail away together.

Lorilea was the daughter of Dorothy and Harry Jose in Augusta, ME.  She was born April 20, 1928.  Both Lorilea and Robert attended Cony High School in Augusta.  Robert joined the Air Force in 1946 for three years.  He then went on to graduate from Colby College in Waterville ME.  Lorilea went to Westbrook Jr. College in Portland ME.  After graduating from Westbrook,  she flew to Anchorage Alaska where Bob was stationed.  They were married in a chapel on the base of Ft.  Richardson.  That was a wonderful year they spent together before returning home to attend college.  Lorilea worked for the government while in Alaska.  On returning home she worked in the treasurer's office at Colby, while Bob attended classes.  The New England Telephone Company recruited Bob upon his graduation and he retired from the company after working 36 years for them.  Lorilea became a stay at home mother with their four children, Lynda K. Edson, Robert D. Kaake, Barbara K. Simon, and David R. Kaake.  She did the usual things that Mom's do, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, teachers helper, Sunday School, church work, etc.  They retired to Sarasota FL, after many moves in Massachusetts that his work required.  They moved to Sarasota FL, while their son attended Riverview High School, then moved to Englewood Fl.  In 2010 they needed a little help and moved into a continuing resident retirement community.  Village on the Isle in Venice FL, was a perfect choice.

They are morned by their children and spouses Bob  & Sunny Kaake, Lynda Edson, Barbara & Steve Simon, and Dave Kaake.
