Lorien's obituary
Lorien Taylor, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025 at the age of 67. Known for her sharp wit, boundless love, and unwavering devotion to her family, she leaves behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and strength.
She was a woman of intelligence and grace, with a laugh that could light up a room and a heart big enough to hold everyone close. Her love for her daughters knew no bounds—they were her pride and joy, and she made sure they always felt it. She also found immense happiness in her four grandchildren, who brought endless light into her life and whom she adored beyond measure.
Lorien was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jacquelyn Dorsey and James Taylor as well as her dear brother David Taylor and sister Nicole Grant. Though her loss leaves a deep ache, we find comfort knowing she is reunited with them in peace.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Mechalle and Nilofur Hawkins, sister Regina Peterson, and her cherished grandchildren, Akeria, Coby, Brooklyn, and Wyatt. Her spirit will live on through the lives she touched with her kindness, humor, and fierce love.
In her honor, we remember to laugh often, love deeply, and cherish every moment with those we hold dear—just as she always did.
