I’ll never forget talking Lori into inviting me to her slumber party when we were in 4th grade. After that, we became lifelong pick-up friends. You know, pick-up where you left off like it was just yesterday.
How we would eat a whole box of mac n cheese by ourselves.
We ran out of gas one time and she coasted her little yellow car right into the gas station like a pro.
She stood by my side like a sister. Our song was/is We Are Family by Sister Sledge. She said it reminded her of us and since that day I crank up the song when it’s on the radio and I think of us.
She always called me or sent a card on my birthday. We were May babies together.
So many memories and looking back, so many lost opportunities to spend time together.
I will always love you, Lori Jo. 🌹
