Lori Christman McDougal “Miss L”

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lori Christman McDougal, “Miss L”, age 52, of Montville, who passed away unexpectedly on August 18, 2025.

Born on December 8, 1973 in Middletown, CT, Lori grew up in Westbrook and graduated from Westbrook High School in 1992. She continued her studies at Dean College, where she discovered her passion for radio. Known to her listeners as “Miss L in the Morning,” Lori became a beloved morning DJ with a devoted fan base. Her warm personality, humor, and love for music shined through the airwaves. Beyond the studio, she brought her vibrant energy to countless events as an emcee—whether hosting for celebrities or celebrating with her community. Lori was a bright star whose voice and presence touched many lives.

She is survived by her parents, Richard G. Christman of Pennsylvania and Laura Lee Christman of Niantic, CT; her sister Tracey (John) Morin of Old Saybrook, CT; her brother Russell Christman of Montville, CT; her daughter Talia Ward of Manchester, CT; and her cherished nephews Mathew & Jack Morin, and niece Malissa Morin of Old Saybrook, CT.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Lori’s many friends and fans for their love and support throughout the years. Our star’s light has gone out, but her spirit will shine forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Westbrook Fire Department at a later date.
