Loretta's obituary

Loretta Jane Hupp, 79, of Clackamas, Oregon, passed away on December 12th, 2021 after a long battle with Lung and Breast Cancer, the latter metastasized throughout her body before we knew it and took her within a month of learning it had spread.

Loretta was born on July 7th, 1942 to John and Leona Burbank in Tillamook, Oregon, one of four children. After graduating from Tillamook High School in 1960, she did go to Clackamas Community College later in life and became a CMA . In 1959, she met Milton Carson, and they wed in 1959, going on to have three children, Kitty Carson, Larry Carson, and Sheri Lavadour.

When Loretta had Kitty, she decided to dedicate her life to being a mother. Loretta divorced Milton in 1967 and continued to raise her three children on her own. In 1978 she met and married her second Husband, Raymond "Red" Hupp and they moved to Tillamook. Unfortunately it was not meant to be and Red Passed after just a year and a half. Loretta held many jobs over the course of her life; working as a nursing assistant at Damasch state mental institution, working as a aide at Tillamook Hospital, Driving Bus for Tillamook School district, and then Delivering Mail for the United States Postal Service first in Bay City and Rockaway and then in Oregon City. Finally she started taking in foster children as she felt she still had more love to give. She took in more children and touched more lives than I can count. But one of those special children was Chierey, and she adopted her into the fold. Later in life as the children were grown she went back to work at Home Instead caring for others again and finally retired at age 72 after the Lung cancer diagnosis. Loretta excelled at propping up all those who knew her and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Loretta was a passionate about crocheting, knitting, and sewing when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her church, The Living Church of God, enriching her spirit. We will miss her greatly.

Loretta was predeceased by her parents John and Leona Burbank, her brother Orley Burbank, her sister MaryLu Hendon, Milton Carson, and Raymond Hupp. She is survived by her sister Johnny Adamson, her four children; Kitty Carson, Larry Carson, Sheri Lavadour, and Chierey Hupp. Her fourteen Grandchildren including those she counted as her own; Chris Bromagen, Nicholas Anacker, Stephan Anacker, Nathan Carson, Ashley Carson, Angela Barajas, Iliana Olivas, Manuel Olivas, Jordan Hupp, Marlon Hupp, Journeigh Hupp, Naomi Stewart, Andrew Yantis, Heidi Cook. Eleven Great Grandchildren; Zen Bromagen, Kaylee Anacker, Orin Anacker, Lily Carson, Ethan Stewart, Elijah Stewart, Adeline Yantis, Chase Yantis, Sabastian Jolly, Drake Giles, and Jessica Hamilton. Finally one Great Great Granddaughter born just before she passed Alina Giles.

The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to c/o Sheri Lavadour, 4705 E 48th St, Vancouver, WA 98661. There will be a celebration of life at TBD in the Spring which was her favorite season
