Lorena's obituary
She was born in Central America, to Nelson and Ana. As the young family grew and resettled in Louisiana in the 1970s, Lorena led her three younger siblings through the adventures of early childhood as the wiser older sister. She loved to cavort and play – but even more she cherished the quiet moments in her happy place where she would explore the world reading 3–5 books a week. Lorena’s loving and caring nature made her the one in charge of the family pets through the years – dogs, finches, goldfish and even baby chicks.
As the family moved between El Salvador and Louisiana, all along she nurtured the dream of one day creating a family of her own. She met her future husband while studying nursing in college at NLU. Lorena married Sean in Louisiana in the fall of 1993. Their wedding was a peak of happiness for all, the beautiful blending of traditions joined in Catholic celebration. Her joys would be multiplied during the following decade by bringing into the world her three boys, each a precious gift and unique expression of her deep devotion. With her husband Sean, Lorena made Texas her home and raised their children on a solid foundation of her Catholic faith and community.
Lorena is survived by her husband, her three boys, her parents, three siblings, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lorena will be remembered for her passion to nurture, her blooming smile, and her loyalty and devotion to those she loved.
