There are a numerous of USA Softball Umpires and Coaches that Loren thought alot about.
Known for his peaceful nature, Loren was an independent spirit who found great joy and peace in his faith, knowing Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He loved any place with a buffet, particularly if he had an Orange Sunkist to pair with his meal. A lover of Jeremy Camp's music and a supporter of the Kansas State Wildcats, Oklahoma Sooners and Kansas City Chiefs, Loren also prominently supported and loved USA Softball with his whole heart.
Before his major heart failure in 2014, Loren liked going on walks as his preferred form of exercise. He was a generous man, regularly contributing to the Salina Food Bank. With a fondness for the color Red, it was a clear representation of his personality — patient, peaceful, and independent, with a love for God. Loren lived the past 10 years with a 35% heart but lived as if it was 100%.
Loren's legacy is marked by his remarkable accomplishments, serving as the President of USA Softball and the Kansas Fastpitch Director. He was a man who believed in the importance of completion, in being a giver, and sharing what you have with others — a testament to the life he lived.
In the wake of Loren's passing, we invite everyone to remember him for the man he was. A celebration of Loren's life will be held on January 26, 2025, at 12:00 PM at The Salina Fieldhouse. In lieu of flowers, funds are being raised for "Celebration of Life" at https://everloved.com/life-of…
