The obituary that I just read was really complete and very reflective of Loran and his many skills. It did not mention, however, mention how skilled he was at landscaping and the beautiful work that he did to enhance the backyard of his mothers and fathers home that was already full of beautiful flowers.

David Javitch, Loran's cousin.

I’m heartbroken to hear this news. Truly! He was a dear friend in high school and we went to many amazing concerts together over the years. His band in college came to visit me and play at my college. It was way more fun than human beings should be allowed to have! I will cherish those memories and sweet memories of riding with him in his Austin Healy with the top down, driving fast, young and free 💗
Paul, Emma and I are so very sorry for everything your family is going through.

Loran and I met our freshman year in college, although quite different he treated me like a brother, a little brother as he was slightly older than me and knew the ways of the world. Well at least a few more months than I had. We visited his home town during the breaks  and he had always bragged on Cleveland because it rocked. He was as close as you could get to the Fonz as a 19 yo could in 1986. Loran was the most complex, talented, disciplined, driven and adventurous person I have ever known, he will be missed and remembered as the wonderful person he was by the many lives he touched.

Hello friends

Daxx Terry Green here. I live directly behind Loran and Sue in Montford.

He was a damn fine neighbor and man. He will be missed.

Daxx

Loran was a life long friend.  He and Sue were our next door neighbors in our first house back in the 90's.  I shared his passion for sports.  We played softball, basketball, and flag football together.  We were in his wedding party, and we traveled to Cleveland, Charleston and New Orleans (Mardi Gras) together.  Loran was very cerebral, and he challenged me to think deeper....about a lot of things.  Our styles were different but our friendship was solid.  We both liked to argue.  He won...most of the time.   One of his biggest pet peeves was a "Best of anything album" to which I would never concede.  He was a great family and Christian man, and enjoyed the world outdoors.   He will be greatly missed by everyone.  My deepest sympathies and prayers to Sue, Amanda and Nicole.  We love you all!  ---- David & Kim Hickmott

He was one of the first people I met at Dayton. I loved how competitive he always was, and made me better. As we got older, his passion for life and constant wanting to be better, still guided me. He dragged my boring self to New York for New Year’s Eve, and 20 years later I was strong enough to propose there.

Sue, I will always remember Kinsey knight. Thank you for being his everything.

Loran changed my life. He lead our disipleship group where he lead 4 men to become brothers with love of God and lifting each other up. We all grew closer to the Lord in our time together. Loran loved being an entrepreneur and the outdoors.

He absolutely adored, loved and lifted up Sue and their kids.

He was a huge fan of his Cleveland sports teams that we shared together. Loran also loved music and playing the guitar. He'd post many lyrics from one of his favorite artists, Jeremy Camp.

His passion for God was so contagious, he was always willing to explain why and how to come into a  personal relationship with God.

You are HOME now with GOD

My condolences to Loran's family. I first met Loran when I was looking to join discipleship at Perimeter Church. Loren was the 1st person to call me and ask pertinent and thought provoking questions. I'll never forget it!
Sue and Family - I’m so sorry for your family’s loss.  Our deepest sympathies 💟✝️💟  The Kallach Family
