Lonnie Lee Fausett
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. Lonnie Lee Fausett of Spokane, WA, passed away September 4th, 2023, in Spokane, Washington.
Lonnie was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and Dementia in 2008, after a long battle and lots of love and care Lonnie would later succumb to respiratory complications and organ failure while in the care of Valley Hospital in Spokane, WA. Lonnie was surrounded by family and loved ones.
Lonnie was born July 28th, 1952, in Wallace, Idaho; and was the daughter of William and Shirley (Payton) Fausett. Lonnie lived in the Silver Valley for much of her life growing up. She attended and graduated from the Wallace High School in 1968. Lonnie later attended the North Idaho College of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, and took courses at Spokane Community College in Spokane, WA. Lonnie moved to Spokane in 1980 and lived most of her life in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho.
Lonnie was a wonderful mother; her family meant the world to her. In her free time, she loved to read and had a large library of books that she was happy to share with everyone. Lonnie enjoyed gardening, arts & crafts, quilting and decorating. She collected antiques and also loved everything Victorian.
Throughout her career, Lonnie worked in accounting as an office manager. She loved numbers and mathematics and helped several companies improve efficiency, increase profitability and streamline accounting practices.
Lonnie's faith was a vital part of her life. She was a member of churches both in Spokane and North Idaho. Lonnie frequently volunteered teaching Sunday school and loved working with youth and teaching children. Lonnie also volunteered with community programs supporting business, professional and life skills for woman. Lonnie often donated to and was an advocate of international charities for children.
Lonnie was well known for her intellect, wit, wisdom, integrity, honesty and beauty both inside and out. She enjoyed sharing her faith, her knowledge and her experience with friends, neighbors, and family.
She has been a pillar of strength and a well of comfort to all who knew her. Her memory will continue to be a source of faith, hope and love.
Lonnie is Survived by four children, Angela Bruss of Spokane, WA, Katina Medlock (Bruss) of (Seattle), WA, Chey (Trina) Edwards of Spokane, WA, and Chahan Edwards of Spokane, WA.
Lonnie is also survived by her brothers and sister in Robert Fausett of Nampa, Idaho, Richard Fausett of Lodi, California, Elena Madrid of Spokane, Washington and Dean Madrid of Kellogg, Idaho. Lonnie has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her several nieces and nephews.
Lonnie was preceded in death by her parents, William Fausett and Shirley Madrid, her stepfather, Felix V. Madrid, her son Paul Bruss, and her Brothers Ronald Wayne Fausett, William Vance Fausett and Ted Dale Fausett.
Lonnie loved her family dearly and carried each of them in special place in her heart. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
A 'Celebration of life' will be later held for family and close friends.
Inurnment memorial Services for Lonnie will be held with immediate family.
