We met Lonna in 1989. She was singing and smiling. She came to our church and always gave encouragement to everyone in a conversation or song. She always called me Sis and she truly felt like a sister. I know she called others Sis, but it was sincerely meant in her relationships. So as sisters we enjoyed her visits to our home for a spontaneous visit or lunch get-togethers. She could easily flow in her songs from her heart. Two I especially was enthralled by: Days of Elijah and then a song she wrote that covered a life as a Christian. Her song had such a snappy tune with truths from A-Z! I always wanted the words printed, hope it can be on her CD. I want to believe the remaining songs she wanted recorded will be accomplished. Our son was first introduced to his 20 years of sound engineering when Lonna was working on "Sing for Joy" recording and took Shad to the recording studio. Her influences go on. Will never forget Lonna, a gem.
