Background
Lonna was truly blessed with musical talent, and came from a musical family - her father played the fiddle and her mother was a pianist. Lonna was a gifted songwriter who was always working on a new tune. She often would "get a song from the Lord" out of the blue, meaning she would hear music that went along with a Bible verse and she would compose an arrangement on the guitar or piano. She shared these songs with her prayer groups and churches for over four decades, where they touched so many hearts, and helped people remember the scriptures.
For the past several years, she said over and over, that she had to get these songs out into the world before she died. Sadly, she was unable to complete this mission.
It will take a community effort, to record these beautiful songs and share them so they aren't forgotten. We're calling on musicians, singers and all those who are holding a song or two of hers in their hearts. We will bring the pieces together to create a tribute to Lonna. The full vision is still forming, but the ultimate intention is to create a CD, and donate any proceeds to support people who are undergoing alternative and holistic treatments for cancer. Contribute
