Lisa's obituary
Lisa K. Lantz-Potter, 84, of Sayre, passed away December 18, 2023 after a brief illness.
Lisa was born on June 28, 1938 in Sayre, Pa., the only daughter of the late Clifton (Kip) and Mildred (Strope) Lantz, and attended Northeast Bradford High School. On Nov. 17, 1956 Lisa married the love of her life, James Potter and together they built a home and family with love and happiness.
Lisa loved animals and her family deeply. She was an accomplished quilter and seamstress, taking pride in making clothing for her children. She also made many cross stitch pictures for family and friends. Lola enjoyed yard sales, scrapbooking, knitting, and crocheting as well. She especially liked baking homemade pies, special holiday cakes and cookies for her grandchildren, and enjoyed making her home clean, warm and inviting. Lisa was also very interested in the afterlife. She worked at the Standing Stone Dress Factory in Standing Stone and Joyce Dress Factory in Sayre.
Lisa was pre-deceased by her parents and in-laws, Clifton (Kip) and Mildred Strope Lantz, Gerald and Virginia Ware Potter; son, Cliff E. Potter; son-in-law, Wade W. Warner; special cousin, Denny Strope; brothers-in-law, Gerald Jr., Paul (Bud), and Charles (Huck) Potter; sister-in-law, Mary Imogene Hawkins Thompson; nephews, Rickie and Robert Lantz and Donny and Scott Potter. Lisa also mourned the loss of very close friends, Clara Weaver and Carol McIntire.
Surviving are her husband of 67 years, James Potter, at home; daughter, Sherry Warner; and daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and David Scheftic of Sayre; grandsons, Cliff James (Jay) Potter of Niagara Falls, N.Y., William Franks, David Scheftic and Patrick Scheftic of Sayre; granddaughters, Christina Sue Nina Potter and Lisa Lee Potter of Niagara Falls, N.Y., Michaela and Kevin Hadlock of Athens and Gabriella Scheftic of Sayre; also, great-grandsons, Kurt, Zachary and Corey Merritt, all of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Marian Potter of Apopka, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving are life-long friends, Anita Pedro, Violet Koser and Anna Chilson of Towanda and Kathleen Tomans of Georgetown, Texas; beloved cats, Oscar, Molly, Skeeter and Sadie, and much loved Boxer, Phoebe.
Donations may be made in Lisa's name to the Bradford County Humane Society, Route 220, Ulster, PA 18850.
At Lisa's request all services will be private at the convenience of the family.
