With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Lola Morrison on April 5, 2026. Born in 1940, she lived her life with kindness, politeness, and generosity, touching the lives of those around her with her warm spirit.
Lola is survived by her son Larry Dawson, her daughter Darla Cooley, along with her beloved grandchildren, Ryan Cooley, Nicholas Cooley, Renae Jenkins, Justin Dawson and Shawn Dawson. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sheryl Cooley. Lola's family was her pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
A lover of life's simple pleasures, Lola had an array of favorite foods, ranging from Rotisserie Chicken, Kwik Trip Pizza, to the humble Breakfast Jack from Jack in the Box. A chilled Diet Coke was her beverage of choice, often accompanied by a riveting mystery novel. In the realm of music, Lola was a fan of Elvis Presley and the Statler Brothers, their songs often filling her home.
Her leisure times were best spent watching her favorite TV Shows, Star Trek and Stargate, or cheering for her favorite sports teams, the Milwaukee Brewers and San Diego Padres. A keen player of Solitaire, Lola also enjoyed the tranquility and beauty of her favorite vacation spot, Hawai'i.
Lola had a deep care for animal welfare, a cause she held close to her heart. Her favorite color, blue, was a reflection of her personality - cool, calm, and comforting. She was more than her kind and polite demeanor; she embodied generosity, often going out of her way to make others feel loved and cherished.
A Memorial service in honor of Lola will be held on May 2, 2026, at 6:00 PM in Poway, CA. As we come together to remember her life, we celebrate the joy she brought into ours and the lessons she left us. Lola Morrison may have left us in body, but her spirit continues to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
