Lois's obituary
Lois Christine Pyles, Sears Willbrandt, born on December 25, 1943, passed away on June 12, 2023. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Lois is remembered for her feisty nature, loving heart, and always happy, but, don't test me, personality. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
Lois is survived by her husband, Gerald Willbrandt, whom she married in 2006. She leaves behind her children: Jeannie (Phillip Marcum) Sears, Oneida, TN, Donald (Darlene) Sears, Somerset, KY, Shairon (Bill McGrail) Wittke, Bozman, MT, Lisa Sears, Somerset, KY, and David (Kelly) Sears, Somerset, KY. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jerree (Jason) Humphrey, Roger & Richard Gilliam, all of Somerset, KY, Jordan (Katie) Sears, Nathan Sears, of Monticello, KY, River Wittke, of London England, & Willow Wittke of Athens Greece, and Andrew, Trent, and Logan Reed all of Somerset, her Great grandchildren: Brandon and Raegan Humphrey, and Ava and William Sears. As well as her step-son, Bryan (Monica) Willbrandt of South America.
Lois was predeceased by her parents, Kelly Pyles and Manda "Mandy" Patton Pyles, her first husband and father of all her children, William "Bill" Sears, her grandson, Rocky John Luttrell, and her brothers, Wilburn, Kenneth, Roger, and Gib Pyles. She was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Darrell Witkee.
Her surviving siblings include her sisters, Doris Foster and Joyce Stinson, and her brother, Jerry (Christine) Pyles. Lois cared deeply about her children and grandchildren, always filling her home with laughter and love. She taught her boys to be men and her girls to be tough and spunky. Some of her greatest accomplishments included showing English Setters in AKC dog shows, where she won numerous awards.
Lois loved playing Rummy, watching Wheel of Fortune, and cheering for her favorite sports team, the KY Wildcats. Her hobbies included fishing, hunting Ginseng, planting flowers, and playing with her dog, Lucy. She enjoyed vacationing in Florida and spending time at the American Legion with her husband.
The impact of Lois' life will be felt for generations through her family and friends, who will cherish the memories and lessons she shared. Her legacy of love, laughter, and strength will live on, as will the beautiful memories of the time spent with her.
Lois planned a private service for Immediate Family, but, we appreciate any memories, photos, or words of encouragement that you would like to share.
