My favorite memory will always be of Lois dancing the tango with Victor on the roof patio after their trip to S America.  Such a beautiful soul.  Condolences to you and Steph
I loved Lois easily because she loved so generously and easily too.  I will always remember her laughter, her smile, her interest in anything and everything in my world.  I wish I had the video of her dancing in my Alford sunroom - but phones die and that video is gone.  She deserves to rest quietly and happily with the angels.

May I offer my sympathies to you and your family on the loss of Lois.

I shared a room with your Mom at Lenox Hill Hospital when you were born June 30, and my son Stephen a couple days before on June 28, 1979.
I have some precious memories of her and wish I had known her better. She seemed to be so cheerful and very caring. I also remember your Dad kindly helping me in the hospital room.

My sympathy and thoughts are with you and family,
Vincenta Puccio
May Lois be remembered as that intelligent, creative, and loving spark of a woman with the brightest smile. Love to you, Steph and Victor

The last time I was at the Dugow home, there was a picture of a young man on a table in the living room. Lois called him her "honey." "Honey" was Victor. She lit up when she spoke of him. She was always my beautiful, bubbly, upbeat cousin. Condolences and love to you and the family.
My condolences, I’m so sorry for your loss.
Sheila and I first met Lois when she was serving as President of the Canavan Foundation and I had been asked to serve as the Chair of the Foundation's Rabbinic Advisory Committee. Since we live in Florida, this would be the first opportunity for me to "interview" for the position. After being "hired" and given the go ahead to invite other Rabbis to serve with me, I began working closely with Lois. Board meetings were held whenever I was visiting our New Jersey family. It wasn't too long before Lois became involved in creating the idea of the Jewish Genetic Disease Consortium and serving as its first President. In time, Lois and Victor and Sheila and I had many chances to "socialize' over dinner at one of their favorite local restaurants. When Stephanie and Brandon announced their engagement, Lois and Victor asked me to officiate at their wedding; May 12, 2012 was a true celebration of life's blessings and it was an honor and a joy for Sheila and me to share it with them. Our memories of Lois will continue to be of that dynamic and indefatigable human soul who opened her home, and her heart, to help ease the pain and frustration of others whose own life experiences had been dealt a cruel and painful blow. The Jewish Genetic Disease family - all of us who were motivated and inspired by Lois Neufeld's passion and captivated by her grace and kindness - will mourn her loss but also keep alive, within us, the example that she set for us to follow.

Zeicher tzaddik liv'rachah - we will keep Lois' memory alive within us!

Lois was a kind and gentle soul, perhaps the kindest person I know. She lived for her family and her friends and we will miss her terribly.
