I first met Lois in first grade at Henderson school. We went all 12 grades together. There were just about 8 in our class and we were all best friends. After I was married we lived in the house I grew up in and farmed. It was then we had Donny Murray stay with us during the summer to help us on the farm. It was then Don's older brother came home for a stay from the service and we introduced Bob to our friend Lois and oh my they became a couple from then on. We were life long friends.
Lois was my sister-in-law I love her with all my heart the best memory that I know is we were having a little bit of wine and we went outside and we were looking for the moon I will never forget that I love her so much
Aunt Lois was my first aunt. When we (the Bade Girls) were little she read to us and took out the feed the baby lambs and pigs, I was her and Uncle Bob's flower girl. They took us to horse shows, and the swimming pool. When I was older, she always had the coolest clothes and she would hand them down to me and I felt cool. I was proud of her for going to nursing school, after I had went ahead of her. She will be missed by many!
Lois has been my best friend since 7th grade in Henderson, Iowa. High School was so much fun with her, as well as all our sleepovers. The Henderson Class of 1958 always reminisces about her fondly, and all the good times. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding in 1960, and I miss her already. I'm not able to visit her, as I am undergoing physical therapy in a live-in rehab facility. I pray for strength for her, her daughter, and her grandchildren.
I did know Lois all my life and have so many fun memories. All the get togethers in Henderson ,the rodeos and horse Payday think was buried there. I bought a new convertible and we drove to Texas and had a super time. Too many memories to write! She was very good to tend to the ill and visited my sister often in Omaha
In care facility. She will be missed by all who knew her.
It seems like I have known Lois all my life, she was tough but tender, loved her family fiercely and was the most wonderful friend there could be, I will miss her.
