Lois's obituary

Lois passed peacefully at home on December 30, 2021 after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer. She fought to the very end, showing us what strength, resilience, and perseverance truly look like.

Lois was born to Francis and Louise (Dana) Aldridge on March 28, 1953 In North Conway, NH. A spirited, fun-loving child, she enjoyed jumping rope and playing nightly volleyball games in her neighborhood. She attended Kennett High School, graduating in 1971. On February 12, 1972 she married Richard Howard. Together they raised their family in Rochester, NH, where Lois worked primarily as a bookkeeper. Lois loved spending time with young people and worked for several years as a teacher at Lighthouse Christian Academy. She also founded and directed the youth choir while attending First Baptist Church of Greater Rochester.

In their later years, Richard and Lois settled in Zephyrhills, FL, where Lois enjoyed the warmth and sun. Some of her favorite activities included camping, fishing, quilting, and watching her grandchildren grow. Lois had a generous heart and a kind soul, always putting others' needs before her own.

Lois is survived by the love of her life and adoring husband Richard and her cherished sister Mary Snell. She is the loving and devoted mother to four daughters, Jody Girouard (husband John Girouard), Lisa Howard, Sara Howard, and Kelly Smith (husband Branden Smith). She also had 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren who will forever miss their “Neenau”.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the METAvivor organization, where one hundred percent of donations go to the research, support, and awareness of metastatic breast cancer.
