Lois's obituary

Lois "Mom to all" Fryckman, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025. She was born on January 2, 1934, and lived a life filled with abundant love, abundant joy, and a heartfelt generosity that extended to all who knew her.

Her memory will be cherished by her children: Kathleen Bendle, Leo Fryckman, David Fryckman, Mary Ellen Adams, Chris Fryckman, Dale Fryckman, and Laurie Collard. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Bodas. Lois was predeceased by her husband, Leo Fryckman, her parents, Mary and Orval Bantz, and her siblings, Loretta, John, Robert, and Orval Bantz. Her great legacy is not only in her own family, but also in the countless other lives she touched as 'Mom to all'.

In 1960, Lois moved to Santa Maria, CA, where she created a home filled with warmth, happiness, and the savory aroma of her favorite foods. She enjoyed simple pleasures like sipping on coffee, relishing in Hurb Albert's music, cheering for the Vikings, and indulging in a good game of cards. She was an avid fan of Law and Order and Hallmark movies while her favorite performances to watch were from Circus So Lae.

Lois had a love for the vibrant city of Las Vegas and enjoyed spending vacation time there. She was also passionate about her grandchildren's welfare, always placing their needs before her own. She embodied kindness and strength, teaching these values to her children. Her life was a testament to her belief in the worth of every individual.

Lois's greatest accomplishment, and the one she held dearest, was raising her seven children. Her warm, loving personality combined with her selflessness made her an extraordinary woman and mother. She was a beacon of light and love to her family and her community, and her enduring legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Her love for travel and spending time with family and friends brought much joy to her life and to those around her. Lois touched many lives, and her presence will be greatly missed but her spirit will live on in the hearts of many.
