Logan's obituary

Logan was a deeply curious and imaginative kid who found wonder in the world around him from a young age. He loved animals and nature, and during COVID in 2020, he became fascinated with dinosaurs, sparking a creativity that showed up in stop-motion scenes he built with his toys and in the countless dinosaurs he drew. That same curiosity led him to become an avid reader, diving into books like Jurassic Park and later challenging himself with The Lord of the Rings, Treasure Island, and other adventure stories. He loved camping with his family and dogs, especially trips to Big Sur among the redwoods and to Bodega Bay, where he could dig in the sand for hours. By fourth grade, he was drawing constantly, often filling the backs and margins of his schoolwork with detailed sketches, and he never stopped creating, whether with cardboard, paper, tape, or LEGO bricks. In sixth grade, he discovered a love for fencing and swordplay, and his curiosity only grew as he explored history and science and even began teaching himself German during treatment. Logan especially loved Halloween, so much so that he would start planning his next costume the day after it ended, often designing and making his own costumes and even decorations for the yard.

More than anything, Logan was full of heart. He was loving, kind, and deeply empathetic, someone who cared for his family, his friends, his pets, and even his stuffed animals in a way that felt genuine and constant. He had a unique personality, equal parts silly and thoughtful, playful and contemplative. He could be stubborn and sarcastic, with a razor-sharp sense of humor that caught people off guard and made them laugh. He brought creativity, humor, and warmth into everything he did, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
