Lisa Surrett, née Jones, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, in Selma, Alabama, at the age of 63. Born on June 27, 1962, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Lisa lived a life marked by deep devotion to her family and a generous spirit that touched many.
Lisa was first and foremost a family woman. Her love and care for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the foundation of her life. She shared a devoted marriage with her husband, Barry Surrett, and together they built a home filled with warmth and compassion. She was a proud mother to Reid Surrett and the late Terry Rush. Her nurturing presence extended to her granddaughters Haley Rush and Clara Rush, and she found immense joy in her great-grandchildren CJ Creager and Jasper Creager.
She was the beloved daughter of Shelah Irwin and the late Jerry Jones. Lisa also cherished the guidance of her stepfather Earl Irwin and stepmother Susan Chitty-Jones. Her bond with her brother Kevin Jones remained strong throughout their lives.
Beyond her family circle, Lisa was known for her unwavering generosity. Whether it was through helping others meet their needs at work or organizing fundraisers for those facing hardship, she gave freely of her time and energy.
