Lisa's obituary
Lisa Smith, born on August 6, 1973, in Jackson, Tennessee passed away on May 4, 2025 in St. Louis, Missouri.
This passing marks the loss of a life of unwavering love for both people and animals. Lisa was the beloved daughter of Jim and Sedenia Wilcox. She shared close bonds with her siblings: Lori (Caleb), Charlie , Jaclyn (Steve), Stephanie (Byron) and Kaitlyn (Kiah). Lisa’s family circle extended to include her very cherished daughters, Allison (Jake), and Brittany. Four treasured grandchildren: James, Luke, Brooks and Nina. All who brought immense joy to her life. Lisa’s outgoing spirit touched many beyond immediate family. She loved being an Aunt to Aaron, Kelly, James, Abby, Ethan, Lacey, Delilah, and KJ, each of whom held a special place in Lisa’s heart. Lisa also leaves behind many cherished aunts, uncles and cousins.
Throughout her life, Lisa was guided by a profound sense of compassion. She had an abiding love for animals and dedicated countless hours to volunteering at shelters and fostering dogs and cats in need of care. Her home was often a haven for animals seeking refuge and love. Equally committed to helping people in need, Lisa regularly fed the homeless and offered support wherever she could. Her acts of kindness were powerful gestures that left lasting impressions on those fortunate enough to receive them. Above all else, Lisa did not get to spend as much time as she would have liked to with Family but, her greatest joy was found in spending time with her grandchildren. Whether sharing stories or simply enjoying each other’s company, these moments were among the most cherished in Lisa’s life.
Lisa’s biggest regret was an illness that came with deteriorating health and not getting to meet her newest grandchild. Lisa was preceded in death by her Grandparents and her Aunt.
Her memory lives on through the many lives she touched .
A special big thank you from our family to all of her close friends who helped whenever and wherever was needed throughout the last few years and days of her life. Thank You for all you have done for her and this family. You all were her angels here on earth.
Lisa's immediate family will be planting a special tree in memory of her to honor her life for years to come.
