Lisa's obituary
Lisa Lynn Loveday Gordon, 64, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024, surrounded by love. She was born on July 27, 1960, to Yvonne Loveday and the late Larry Loveday. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother Clay Loveday.
A graduate of Henry Clay High School, Lisa went on to attend Barber College and enjoyed a successful 35-year career as a hairstylist. Known for her warm, listening ear and her ability to bring joy to everyone who sat in her chair, she was a beloved figure to many. Her kind heart and vibrant spirit touched countless lives, and her work was a reflection of her deep compassion and loving nature.
Lisa was a devoted mother and grandmother, and her love for her family was immeasurable. She cherished her role as a caretaker, particularly to her mother, Yvonne, and took great pride in nurturing those around her. Above all, Lisa's life was a testament to her faith, her love for others, and her steadfast belief in the power of kindness. Her unwavering belief in God guided her actions and was evident in the way she selflessly served others. Her faith was her strength, and she found peace in the knowledge that she was loved by a higher power.
Lisa is survived by her mother, Yvonne Loveday; her brothers, Jason and Curtis Loveday; her sister, Lavonne Mandy; her daughter, Lacey Gordon; her grandsons, Ari Layne Cheatham and Alexander Gray Cheatham; and her nieces and nephews, Julia Loveday, Nyah Loveday, David Loveday, Elden Mandy, and Tatiana Mandy. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Lisa’s legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to inspire those who knew her. A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home. Service details will be provided shortly. In her passing, we take comfort in knowing that she is in the embrace of the Lord, at peace, and surrounded by His everlasting love.
