Lisa Ruth Hall-Mayes was born on May 5, 1963 in Detroit, Michigan to the union of the late William and Ruth Hall. Lisa was the youngest sibling of 12 brothers and sisters born to this union. Lisa was a product of the Detroit Public School System graduating from Henry Ford High School where she excelled in modern dance.
