Emma and Ben,

My name is Frank Martz, and I am the City Manager for the City of Altamonte Springs. Your mom was a personal friend and she was a friend to the City. We are feeling a terrible loss, but know that pales to what you both must be feeling. We are so sorry for your loss.

Your mom was a great partner to the City. Many of the community initiatives that we brought forward in Uptown Altamonte were made possible because of your mom and her belief in collaboration and putting the community first. She was a down-to-Earth leader, and a funny and very clever person. 

Her bravery was inspiring. She will be remembered by us all here. I will mention her and her amazing partnership at an upcoming City Commission meeting so that her name will forever be in the record of our City. She deserves to be remembered and we will do that for her.

Your mom was very proud of you both, and we enjoyed our friendship as former Marylanders. She talked about you both often and in a voice that conveyed her boundless love for you. 

 We miss her and we extend to you the sympathy of Mayor Bates, the City Commission, and every employee here at the City. You both are in our thoughts and prayers.

My dear friend Lisa - words cannot express my grief regarding the loss of my forever friend. I will miss your smile, laughter, strength, courage and love. You were my compass and and foundation throughout our childhood and adulthood. So many memories. Just a few weeks ago I was texting you about a plan to see you again. I cannot fathom my life without seeing you again. My heart aches for your family and friends who lost such a bright spirit from their lives as well. Ben and Emma Potthast your Mom spoke so affectionately about you every time we communicated. You were everything to her. I am here for anything you need during this difficult time. Do not hesitate to message me.

RIP Lisa, I will love you forever and make it my goal to carry your light forward. You will always be the the wind beneath my wings. 💔❤️
