Lisa's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lisa Anne Ortega, born on August 1st, 1966, who left us too soon on January 13, 2026. A kind-hearted, generous, loyal, deep thinker, and an exceptionally loving individual, Lisa's demise leaves a void that can never be filled.

Lisa was a proud veteran, having served for six years in the United States Navy, a period she often referred to as one of the most defining and cultivating times of her life. Lisa's academic life was just as exemplary as her military service. She held a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Services from the esteemed University of West Florida, using her knowledge and skills to make substantial contributions in her field of work.

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Ortega, who stood by her as an untiring pillar of support. Their bond was an admiration to all who knew them, a testament to love, and a guiding beacon of devotion. Lisa is also survived by her sister and husband  Kelly and Roger Farmer, and brother in law Chris Ortega. And not to be forgotten , her loyal and beloved dog Bella.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Lisa's life on February 14, 2026, at 12:00PM at Funeraria del Angel Catalina in Tucson Arizona.  We invite all who knew Lisa, who were touched by her kindness, generosity and loyalty, to join us in paying respects to this remarkable woman. This gathering will not only serve as a solemn goodbye but also as a celebration of Lisa's full and significant life.

Lisa was not just a remarkable wife but was also an integral part of the lives of her family, friends, and coworkers. Her absence brings a profound sense of loss, but the impact of her legacy and the memories we hold dear will continue to resonate within us.

As we navigate through this sorrow, we remember Lisa for the imprint she left on our lives. She was a source of joy and comfort, always ready to lend a hand or share her wisdom. Her love and influence will be deeply missed but will forever remain in our hearts.
