Background

My Mother was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer in October of 22'. After months of Radiation and Chemo she was informed July 5th that it had metastasis. Unfortunately while they were focused on the main tumor.
Mom's right lymph node was extremely inflamed and left untreated. By the time they noticed exactly what was going on . It was already too far gone. PET scans in the end of June showed the cancer had spread throughout her whole body including her Brain & Lungs. Which ultimately is what took her. X-rays last Friday showed us that the cancer had over taken both lungs within a month. Seeing those showed us we really only had a few hours, if a few days left. After a long talk we made the decision to go to a beautiful Hospice Facility in Sylvania ,Ohio.
She had her own big room, semi private patio, Flower gardens and bird feeders all around. She absolutely loved it.
Mom fought hard for 4 days. I stayed by her side, helping her leave this life and on to her next journey. Tuesday, August 15th at 5:15 am My Mama gained her 🪽 and decided it was time to fly.

Now I was able to get her Medicare insurance to pay for the hospital & Hospice Facility well a majority of them. We still have a few bills left in the air at this time due to her old insurance. For months Mom's old insurance company fought her tooth and nail on everything. Anything from dropping her whole Cancer team of Doctors to
Dening her breathing machine, shower chair and wheelchair for months.
I literally had to get her a breathing machine from home. Yes, from Michigan just so she can have one.

Unfortunately though she does not have life insurance. So that means I will now be taking on her cremation expenses $1,968.-
-family urn pendants w/ her birth stone. for her 5 kids, Brother & Sister, Dad, and her Grandchildren - spreading the remaining of her ashes over Nigra Falls as well as all her other final wishes.
Despite my I got this attitude.
And Yes, I did put away some money for this. However I do have several friends & extended family members who have asked if they can help ease my burdens.
After talking with my Husband I have decided to go ahead and except all the help I can get. He's right I've taken on so much the last few weeks.
I truly am emotionally, mentally and physically drained. Watching your parent pass in front of your eyes ..ugh it's hard as hell. Those images will never leave my thoughts.
I truly appreciate all the condolences, love , hugs, phone calls and texts . I promise I will get back with everyone very soon.
I'm planning to do Mom's Celebration of life on her Birthday - September 5th !
