LINWOOD's obituary

Linwood Dewayne Johnson Sr 39 entered into eternal rest on Saturday January 20th, 2018 after a short illness, at Duke University Hospital in Durham North Carolina. He was the son of the late Oflen Drake and Sara Catherine Johnson.
Linwood was born in Newburgh NY August 30th, 1978. He attended the schools of Newburgh, NY.
At the age of 16 Linwood developed the love of fixing cars, he started off sweeping the floors at Lightning Lube a little mechanic shop in New Windsor NY and ultimatley becoming the head mechanic for over 13 years that all the customers requested.
Linwood's knowledge of cars was so profund he could diagnois your car problem just by you telling him what your car sounds like or what the car is doing.
His love of fixing cars was such a passion that he worked untill he couldn't any longer.
Linwood also had a passion for motorcycles and was apart of the Shrad Boys motorcycle group.
He was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
Linwood leaves behind to cherish his memories his three children Linwood Johnson Jr and Karessa Johnson of Fayetteville NC, his son J'Lin Johnson of Newburgh, NY his three step children from a pevious marriage to Michelle Johnson (best friend) of 20 years step daughter Fontesia Bell and stepsons Eli Bell III and Marcus Bell. He also leave behind to cherish his memories his two brothers Antonio Johnson (Lizette Johnson) of Kingston, NY and Oflen Drake Jr of Fayetteville NC. His Two Sisters Alisha Simms (Edward Simms) of Fayetteville, NC and Allison Drake of NY, NY.
He will be dearly missed by his speacial/favorite nieces and nephews Te'sheonna Fryar, Cy'esha Giles, Jaden and Anthony Fryar Jr of Fayettevill, NC and severall other nieces,nephews, family and friends.
Linwood relocated to Fayetteville NC in 2012 where he later met and married Beverly Johnson who he leaves behind as well as two stepchildren Antonio and Isaiah Johnson of Fayettevill, NC.
He was predeceased by his Father Oflen Drake Sr, Mother Sara Catherine Johnson as well as his childhood sweetheart Latasha Turner.
Linwood the Shrad Boys will definently miss you as the group will never be the same as a part of them has gone to heaven.
We love and will forever cherish our memories.
The laughs, the cries, your funny jokes and the nick names you manage to come up with for all the people you came in contact with.
You were a great son, father, stepfather, brother, uncle, cousin and husband.
We know you made Buddy and Sara proud to call you thier son. we can't say it enough, you put up a great fight for us all but it was time for you to rest. We will always love you but God loved you best. Rest in heaven forever your family and fiends we love you.
