Lindsey's obituary

Lindsey Clayton Pinkston passed away on September 2, 2020 in his Papillion, Nebraska home. He was born to Aubrey and Mary (Burden) Pinkston in Lincoln, Nebraska on November 8, 1945. After over fifteen years of custodial work, he spent decades driving school buses for Lincoln Christian, Waverly, Fremont, and Varsity Bus Lines before his retirement. He also provided transportation for detasselers for many summers. He received a Certificate of Appreciate from Fremont Public School as a recognition for his service and was appreciated by parents for his commitment to student safety.

Known as “Pinky” to his friends and student bus riders, he loved bowling, playing pickle cards while bowling, and playing Powerball. He was good, kind, and tried to make friends laugh with his dry sense of humor. His children have fond memories of spending time with him on the weekends where they were spoiled with his attention while sharing his love of bowling, attending other events in the community, and watching WWE Wrestling.

Lindsey is survived by daughter Amy (Troy Longbine) Pinkston; son John (Marguax) Pinkston; grandchildren Aubrey, Maelee, and Landon; and numerous friends. Lindsey was proceeded in death by his parents, sister Patricia, and brother Dennis.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
