Lindsey Nicole Boerma passed away on October 26, 2025, at UChicago Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, surrounded by her loving family. Throughout her 37 years, she touched countless lives with her compassion, fearlessness, humor and unwavering positivity.

Lindsey was born on August 23, 1988, at Lincoln Memorial Hospital, daughter of Thomas and Fay Boerma. Surviving Lindsey are her parents Tom and Fay of Lincoln IL; brothers Chris Boerma and Tim Boerma; nephew Clayton Boerma; niece Rhianna Boerma; her precious fur babies Cher and Harper; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many treasured friends, including her dear friend Paul Stanford. Lindsey was also a paw-rent to Isabelle, who she was reunited with five days after her own passing. Lindsey was preceded in death by her grandparents. She graduated from Pepperdine University in California and was currently a political producer for NewsNation in Chicago.

A celebration of life will be held for Lindsey at the American Legion in Lincoln, IL on May 2, 2026, from 2-6 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lindsey's name to the Logan County Humane Society and Sip of Hope Coffee via Hope for the Day.
