Murray Jamison was in two exhibits at the JohnNicholsGallery.com in Santa Paula, California when she lived 45 miles north in Santa Barbara. We got to know each other that way. After she moved back east we kept in contact. I was surprised when the attorney for her estate contacted me and told me that Murray ha selected me to liquidate her art. It has been a slow and interesting project. After contacting numerous museums I finally made contact with the Maine Museum of Photographic Arts. They know Murray well and accepted a large number of photographs for their permanent collection.

The Santa Paula Art Museum is just developing a serious collection of fine art photographs and also accepted a large number of her photographs for their permanent collection. Murray’s artistic legacy is secured.

I’m currently working on contacting an old friend of Murray who lives in Paris, France and that might make Murray’s artistic reputation more global.
