Linda Ann Wilson

Linda Ann Wilson, 69, of Martinez, Georgia, died at 2:45 PM Sunday 06 March 2022 in her home due to complications of Frontal-Temporal Lobe Dementia.
She was born 08 September 1952 in Chicago, Illinois, and was one of the first babies to survive open-heart surgery to correct Patent Ductis Arteriosis. Linda was adopted by Eugene and Martha (Gjerseth) Fredrick of Harvard, Illinois.
She married Douglas Wilson on 08 March 1973, and he survives. Also living are daughters Shannon (Tim) Cox of Bridgewater, VA; Colleen Wilson of Austin, TX; and Erin Wilson of Martinez, GA; plus sons Thomas (Jenna) Wilson of Charlotte, NC; and Lainn Wilson of San Francisco, CA. Additional survivors are six grandchildren and siblings in Illinois and Texas.
Linda was a devout Christian, and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.
She had a bubbling, outgoing personality, and a heart for others.
Among her many talents was music. She was an exceptional singer, played and taught the piano, and was a gifted children’s choir director.
For over 50 years she used her gifts wherever she lived: singing in church choirs, leading children’s church choirs, working in the underground Christian church in the Middle East in the mid-1980s, directing children’s Christmas performances and plays, participating and functioning as a leader in Bible Study Fellowship–International. She served others wherever she lived and was a loyal friend to many.
Linda had a gift for hospitality, entertaining many people in her home and providing home-cooked meals to anyone, whenever needed.
She was a loving, devoted caregiver for a Cancer-stricken child, as well as, two parents in their last years of life, and did so, with a servant’s compassionate heart.
Her engaging personality, many interests including sports, and her active life style allowed her to share her faith throughout her life.
