Linda's obituary

Linda Wagner passed away peacefully on August 8, 2018 at the age of 76. She was a resident of Bedford, TX. Linda was born on October 13, 1941 in Sidney, Ohio. She grew up in Sidney, Ohio and was a proud graduate of Ohio State University. Linda loved playing the piano and organ at the First United Methodist Church in Sidney. She had 2 children, Brent and Shelly, with her former husband, David Neer. Linda moved to Texas in 1969. She continued teaching and also earned a masters degree at North Texas State University. In 1988, Linda married John Wagner. Linda was a retired teacher and taught for over 48 years. She retired in 2012 after working as a honors English teacher at Bowie High School in Arlington, Tx. Linda worked hard and played hard! She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time anywhere near the water. Her biggest joy was going to the lake and sailing. Linda also loved watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Linda is survived by her daughter, Shelly Neer, of Frisco, Tx; son, Brent Neer and his wife, Cece also from Frisco, Tx; brother, Stephen Potter and his wife Gayle of Dallas, Tx; grandchildren, Dani, Daley, and Broden; Niece, Joy Nguyen and her husband Huy; Nephew, Jason Potter and his wife, Jennifer; former husband, David Neer and his wife Jan; fur baby, Brutus (the Ohio State Mascot!) and many wonderful neighbors and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Wagner, of 30 years and her parents, Paul and Wilma Potter. Linda touched the lives of many. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 18 at 3:00 at her home at 1700 Cunningham Ct. in Bedford, Texas.
