Mrs. Linda Sue Swicegood, 75,  Of Statesville North Carolina,  passed away Monday, February, 14 2022, at Iredell Memorial Hospital after a Brutal battle with covid. 

Mrs. Swicegood  was born in Statesville,  December 20, 1945, and was the daughter of John & Velvey Allison. After high school,  her first job as a doffer at payola yarns for 30 years.

Mrs. Swicegood was married to her husband Gerald who she met in 1963 and got married in 1968, with four loving children. Timmy, Brenda, Steven and Reggie.

When Linda had her first child,  she dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother, as a mother  she was generous, loving and kind. She never told any of her four children off, and spoiled them as much as she possibly could. She was a grandmother to 6 grandchildren,  Andrew, Steven, Nicole, Kalina, Nancy, And Summer.

During Linda's free time, she loved to spend time with her family; especially her grandchildren.  Her children and grandchildren were her prized possessions. She cherished each and every member of her family and had a close personal relationship with each of them. She made everyone feel special and loved.

She was a woman of strong faith. A saint, if you will. She was not afraid to share her faith with others and would often pray for you or let you know what the Bible and God had to say about your situation. You always walked away knowing you were loved. She was a gift, a blessing and an inspirations to her family. Now she sits at the feet of Jesus at peace and in love with her creator.

Mrs. Swicegood is predeceased by Steven ,Gerald, and Timmy. She is survived by Brenda, Reggie and her grandchildren. 

We are are heartbroken by the loss of Linda. She left a void that cannot be filled. Her love for us will sustain us at this difficult time and moving forward. We love you and miss you Mawmaw.
