Linda's obituary

Mrs. Linda Fay Spruill, 70, of Goldsboro left her earthly home to reunite with her heavenly family and friends on April 18th, 2023, after a difficult battle with cancer. Linda was born on March 8th, 1953, to Emma and Russell Bailey.

Linda was a kind, caring and loving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Linda was always there for her family, she was a woman of strong faith, and she instilled in her children and grandchildren the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband Richard Spruill, mother Emma Gurley, father Russell Bailey, and brothers Donnie and Wilton Bailey.

Mrs. Linda will be greatly missed by her sister Adelle (Linwood) Carter, sisters-in-law Ruth Bailey and Linda Bailey, daughter Paula Mullins, sons Richard (Shirley) Spruill, Teddy (Leanna) Ginn, and Tony (Denise) Ginn, grandchildren Joey, Chris, Karla, Gunner, Ashley, and Tiffany, nine great-grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends.

Friends and family are welcome to attend Linda’s funeral service, which will be held on April 22nd, 2023, at The Salvation Army of Goldsboro (610 N William St. Goldsboro NC 27530) at 2 p.m. A private burial will be held on a later date in Elizabeth City, NC.
