Linda's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a remarkable woman, Linda Skaggs. Linda was born on the 10th of October, 1943, and peacefully departed this life on the 20th of October, 2024. Though we mourn her loss, we find comfort in the rich, full life she lived.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband, John Skaggs. Their enduring love story was an inspiration to all who knew them, a beacon of unwavering commitment and deep affection that spanned the decades. She will be profoundly missed by John, who cherished her and shared in her many joys and interests.

A woman of eclectic tastes, Linda found joy in many areas of life. She was an avid reader with a particular fondness for the thrilling tales of Stephen King's Women's Murder Club. Consumed by her books, she would lose herself in their pages, her vivid imagination brought to life by the author's skillful storytelling.

Among Linda's wide array of hobbies, she was an ardent film buff. 'The Bodyguard' held a special place in her heart, its compelling narrative and evocative performance captivating her time and again. She found immense pleasure in re-watching her favorite films, finding new nuances in each viewing.

Her love for sports was no secret; the Houston Texans and Houston Astros had a loyal fan in Linda. The camaraderie and spirit of the games resonated with Linda, and she would often be found cheering on her teams with fervor. Her enthusiasm was infectious, spreading to everyone around her.

Travel was also a significant aspect of Linda's life. Some of her favorite vacation spots included the cosmopolitan hub of New York City, the romantic cityscape of Paris, and the cultural wealth of San Francisco. Each destination was a new adventure for Linda, one she enthusiastically embraced.
