Linda's obituary
Linda was born to Jewel and Hal Womack on February 19, 1940 in Seminole, OK. Raised in a happy home with her parents and younger brother Jim, she excelled in school as a student and a social butterfly.
Linda met her husband, Casper (Cass) Schichtle while classmates at Coffeyville High School in Kansas. They married on December 26, 1961 and went on to have six children, Julia, Christine, Mark, Nicholas, Matthew and Cassie. The family lived all over the world, including Washington DC, Taiwan, Hawaii, Texas, Ohio, Washington, Tennessee, Florida, California and Japan during their 25 years of military service in the USAF.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Linda also loved working in her many gardens, traveling, reading, volunteering, painting, attending the theatre, hosting family gatherings, socializing with her numerous friends and most recently, singing in the choir and holding various community leadership roles at Victoria Presbyterian Church in Riverside, CA. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.
Linda is survived by her husband, Cass, her brother, Jim, her children, Julia, Christine, Mark, Nicholas, Matthew, Cassie and their spouses, as well as her grandchildren, Jillianne, Carina, Margaret, Caitlyn, Keaver, Kimberly, Jeremy, Julia, Casper, Luke, Sariana and their spouses and her great-grandchildren Rosalee, Nora and Tucker, and three more great grandchildren on the way.
An open memorial service will commence at 11am on September 24th, 2019 at Victoria Presbyterian Church in Riverside, CA. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Riverside National Cemetery.
