Linda Rothenberger, born May 29, 1943, sadly passed away on July 2, 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was known for her friendly, bubbly, and outgoing personality. Throughout her life, she remained an example of resilience, joy, and independence, always encouraging those around her to laugh and enjoy life. 

Linda was born to Dorene Christensen and Paul Green of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Linda as a young child,  lived most of her life in the Los Angeles area with her mom, Dorene Christensen, step-dad, John Christensen, and her sister Virginia Bates Mangrum. She graduated from University High School in Los Angeles, California in 1961. Shortly after, she married Bob Fernandez in 1962, with whom she had a child. The couple divorced and Linda found love again and married John Rothenberger in 1970.

Before her life with John Rothenberger,  Linda worked for the  Southern California Gas Company and Republic Bank in Torrance, California.  Her son, John Fernandez recalls a time when his mom, Linda loaded up the Porsche and took a road trip from the Los Angeles area to the midwest to visit family.  One of her son's favorite memories.  Her love and knowledge of cars was something she passed onto her son, John.

In the early 70's, Linda and John Rothenberger started  FISCO Financial Services, and Diversified Investments as well as others. Their life continued, and so did their business accomplishments after they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in the 90's, where she left a lasting mark. 

Linda enjoyed being active in her community, as a member of the Lions Club International, the Rotary International, and the Nevada Chamber of Commerce. She also found joy in being a member of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America and the Porsche Club.

A lover of life's pleasures, Linda had a versatile range of recreational activities. Sailing on their sail boat,  raising Arabian horses,  and attending the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance where she likes to tell the story of how she met Jay Leno were among her favorites, but one of her greatest joys was going to see her long time friend (since the fourth grade), Noreen Clark who was like a sister to her.  

Later in life, she would go out dancing at the Rampart Casino or to Steiner's Pub in Las Vegas for a bowl of ice cream.  They had this to say;  "may the best most cheerful whole hearted Steiner’s regular that I have had the pleasure of taking care

of rest peacefully". Linda enjoyed spending time on Facebook reading jokes and sharing them or finding out which car she would be, what's her hippie or country name,  or what food matches her personality. She also enjoyed her trips to Washington to spend time with her son, John Fernandez. 

Linda is preceded in death by her mom, Dorene Christensen, her father, Paul Green, and step-father, John Christensen, and her sister, Virginia Bates Mangrum.

Linda is survived by her son, John Fernandez, and daughter-in-law, ReNae Fernandez, sister, Paula Sherman, and her granddaughters: Andraea Proctor (Travis Proctor), Jenna Fernandez, and Jaci Fernandez (Cannon Sires),  and her three great-grandchildren: Kennedy Proctor, Crew and Casen Sires. 

Linda's legacy is one of creating and cherishing happy moments, a principle she lived by each day. She will be greatly missed, forever loved and her memory will be eternally treasured. The lessons she shared and the life she lived her way will continue to inspire all who knew her.
