Gipson Funeral Home & Garden of Memories Memorial Park

Funeral service for Linda Riddle Jones-Emmons, 70, of Iola, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023, in the Elwyn Marcus Gipson Chapel at Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Episcopal Minister officiating. Interment will follow at graveside.

Linda was born July 8, 1952 in Cairo, Illinois, daughter to the late Farah Lagrone and Bobby Joe Riddle. She passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023, in a hospital.

Mrs. Emmons was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. She had a heart of gold. She enjoyed taking care of her animals and spending time with her grandchildren. Linda proudly served our country in the United States Army Reserve.

Survivors include son, David and Christine Jones of Firestone, CO; daughters, Elissa Emmons of Iola, TX and Jessica Calvin and husband, Russell of Katy, TX; grandchildren, Cole, Chloe, Courtney, Rachel; brother, Robert Waller of Baytown, TX; sisters, Amanda Dambra of Pearland, TX and Laura Garcia of Sheldon, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
