Linda's obituary
With a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry Maga Cum Laude from Temple University, Linda went on to get her medical degree from George Washington University. A residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and a fellowship in Gastroenterology from Temple University Hospital soon followed. Honors and awards include the Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Honorary Citizen of New Orleans, Fellow’s Research Award, and the Merck Award.
Linda shared her expertise as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Louisiana State University and Clinical Instructor of Medicine Temple University School of Medicine. Despite all the activity of her multiple hospital appointments and committees, Linda consistently shared laughter, empathy, and compassion with her colleagues, friends, and patients.
Her humanitarian medical work involved the RotoCare Free Medical Clinic, Karimu Tanzania Medical Relief, Santa Cruz Juvenile Hall, and the Cristo Santo Medical Relief in Grenada, Nicaragua. She mirrored the love of God and left a trail of joy wherever she stepped.
Linda Renee’s greatest joy, above all else, is her amazing son, Dan. The love for her only child is unstoppable. Blessings go to the rest of Linda’s family.
