In Loving Memory of Our Nanny – Help Us Honor Her Life and Legacy 💔

Story:

Our family is heartbroken to share the tragic passing of our beloved Nanny, who lost her life to an overdose after a long and painful battle with addiction and mental illness.

For many years, Nanny struggled silently under the weight of addiction—a disease that far too often walks hand in hand with unresolved trauma and deep emotional pain. Despite it all, she fought with everything she had. She had been sober for nearly a year, during which time she began healing and rebuilding bonds, especially with her great-grandchildren. Their connection brought light into her life, and she loved them more than words can say.

But sobriety is not a cure, and healing is never linear. Nanny was still carrying a heavy burden inside. Behind her smiles and strength were battles that most never saw. Her passing was the heartbreaking result of a relapse—one moment that took away a woman we will love and miss forever.

We are asking for support to help us give Nanny the celebration of life she deserves—one that honors not just how she died, but how she lived: with fierce love, warmth, and the constant desire to do better. Your donations will also help support the great-grandchildren she was so deeply bonded to, helping them navigate this loss with comfort and care.

We also share her story to shine a light on the realities of addiction and mental illness. These struggles are real, relentless, and often invisible. Nanny’s journey reminds us that those who seem strong may still be silently suffering. Please, if you or someone you love is struggling—reach out. You are not alone.

Thank you for helping us remember Nanny with love, compassion, and dignity. Every share, every kind word, and every donation means more than we can say.

With love
