Linda Paulette Miller September 10,1944 to April 21, 2025
Linda passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on April 21, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Linda grew up in Cumberland MD and graduated from Fort Hill High School in 1961. John, Linda, and their family relocated to Oregon in 1978, making it their home.
In 1963, Linda married her soulmate, John Miller, they shared a remarkable 61 years of marriage. Their love story, marked by deep commitment, continued even as they faced life's final moments, with John rejoining Linda in eternal peace just 28 days after her passing.
Linda worked at Norm Thompson Outfitters for over 20 years and retired from there. Linda was a member of the “Mountain Man Black Powder Brigade Group” enjoying primitive camping and rendezvous. Linda was an avid quilter and loved to sew. She made many beautiful quilts and loved to give them away to charities or families.
She was survived by her son Ronald Miller and wife Susan Miller; her daughter, Brandy Miller and partner Justin Olson; her daughter, Stephanie Miller all of Portland, OR, Grandchildren: Amanda Miller, Ashley Miller, Richard Phillips, Seth Phillips, Nathan Miller, Joshua Miller, Skyler Ogilvie, Henry Estep, and great grandchildren Magnolia Wickwire, Arthur Wickwire, Danial Shanti, lots of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephew. Sister Lois Kerns, Cumberland, MD, sisters Carol Galarneau, Doris Kottwitz, Gail Attaway, Denise Hernandez all of Texas, Jean Sheldon of New Jersey.
She was preceded by death by her beloved daughter Rebecca Sally Miller, mother Leona Kerns and stepfather Louie Kearns of Cumberland MD. father Francis Miller and stepmother Amy Miller of Texarkana AR. sister Lee of Pennsylvania, sister Louise of Cumberland MD, brother Louie of Florida, sister Ruby brown of Texas
The family will be having a ceremony at 11:00 AM on July 21, 2025, for John and Linda at their final resting place Willamette National Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly ask to have donations be sent to the local Alzheimer's or Dementia charity foundations.
