Linda's obituary

Linda "Punkin" Allen, was born on May 1, 1965 in Fort Wayne, IN to Patricia and Mark Allen. She departed this life and was met by her savior passed on October 5, 2023 from a tough battle with lung cancer. Linda was born the second of five .  She attended Southside High School of Fort Wayne, IN and graduated from IU in 1989 with a bachelor's in Business Administration.

 Linda demonstrated a life full of vibrancy, charisma, and compassion, creating a lasting impact on all who had the privilege to know her.  Linda devoted her life to Christ when she joined Greater Progressive Church in 1998. She has been a devoted member and usher for over 20 years. Her faith played an integral role in her life, providing her with comfort, guidance, and a strong community that she cherished deeply. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her warmth and kindness.

Those who knew Linda could vouch for her love of the simple pleasures in life. She enjoyed indulging in her favorite food - pizza, paired with a refreshing glass of Pepsi - her drink of choice. An ardent fan of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, his music often filled her home, evoking a sense of joy and nostalgia.

In her downtime, Linda could often be found watching her favourite TV shows - Scandal, Power, and Friends. Love Jones, her favorite movie, was a firm staple for any movie night. As a supporter of the Chicago Bulls, she seldom missed a game, and was also known for enjoying a friendly game of spades with her friends and family.

Traveling was Linda's favorite recreational activity, making her way to various destinations whenever she could spare the time. Among her preferred vacation spots, Miami held a special place in her heart. She had a penchant for water aerobics, finding joy in the unique blend of exercise and relaxation it offered.

Compassionate and sensitive, Linda was deeply concerned about Autism and worked tirelessly towards raising awareness for the cause. She believed in creating a more understanding and inclusive world. The color red, signifying energy and passion, was her favorite, reflecting her vibrant personality accurately.

Linda lived her life with grace, positivity, and an unwavering spirit. Her presence and infectious love of life will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Robin (Jeremy) Harris; Sons, Rodney Allen (Mariah) and George Allen (Sarah) grandson, Rodney Allen Jr, her and an abundance of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She is survived by her beloved granddaughter, Loren Allen , who she held dear to her heart. Their aunt and niece bond was exceptional, displaying a unique blend of unconditional love, mentorship, and friendship
